Logistics Warehouse Helper

Position Summary
Responsible for offloading and reloading of all domestic and international containers and moving goods to proper locations in the warehouse.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for counting and manifesting of all goods offloaded from the containers.
- Receives goods from various companies on island to be offloaded, marked and stored in proper area to facilitate order pulling and load up for deliveries.
- Handles the loading and offloading of all flatbed and box trucks using a forklift and use of the hustler in the yard to move containers to and from the dock.
- Provides customer service when needed, performs daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
- Performs other duties as directed by LOG Foreman and/or LOG Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience/Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to operate forklift and hustler within the Company’s premises
Preferred Qualifications
Experience/Skills/Knowledge
- 3 – 5 years of warehouse experience
Mental, Physical and Communication Requirements
- Requires frequent lifting of 55 lbs and occasional lifting of 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks: stretching, turning, twisting and reaching, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling and stooping for long periods of time.
- Interpersonal and professional oral communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Work under minimal supervision, apply logic and reasoning to solve complex problems, use sound judgment and discretion in performing work duties.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoors on loading dock, in the yard and in the warehouse
Normal Work Hours
- Monday – Friday, as scheduled by LOG Supervisor
- May require working overtime, on weekends and holidays per direction of LOG Supervisor.
Guidelines
- Follows and adheres to all internal policies and procedures, House and Safety Rules, and any employee policy guidelines if applicable.
- Executes goals and direction provided by LOG Supervisor.
