Description

Cadogan Tate Chicago has an exciting position available for a Warehouse Handler. The role involves receiving, locating, processing shipments for the Studio department, and releasing items as directed. Responsibilities include handling, packing, and condition reporting of art, antiquities, and furniture, as well as assisting in loading and unloading trucks.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, and art handling, including packing (e.g., Warehouse Associate, Art Packer, Stock/Inventory Associate)
• Knowledge of proper inventory management protocols
• The ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday with some weekends. The company offers competitive pay and benefits. Candidates must provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Team and Warehouse Manager
• Manage inventory and ensure accurate locations
• Handle art objects, fragile materials, antiques, and furniture carefully
• Prepare condition checks and reports
• Pack items for transportation and storage
• Receive and release shipments with accurate inventory and condition reporting
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks
• Maintain attention to detail in all tasks

General

• Ensure compliance with HR and company policies

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, and art handling
• Knowledge of warehouse storage and safety protocols
• Problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Ability to execute detailed paperwork and condition reports accurately
• Team player with the ability to work at all levels
• Comfortable in a results-driven environment
• Ability to operate a forklift safely
• Experience with warehouse equipment like hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver large objects safely
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach overhead
