Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, Bethlehem, PA, is hiring a Warehouse Generalist to fill multiple roles in the warehouse, from selector to forklift operator. The position involves operating material handling equipment, building pallets, and supporting various warehouse functions.

Qualified applicants should have 1+ years of experience with equipment, strong safety practices, and a team-oriented mindset. Overtime may be required to meet schedules and business needs.

Job description

Position Overview

Keep our communities fed. Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Warehouse Generalist, you will fill in for any position in the warehouse including, but not limited to: Selector, Dock Worker, Palletizer, etc.

Compensation & Location

Earn $19.00per hour plus .50 shift differential 2nd 3rd Weekly pay Bethlehem, PA

Key Responsibilities

You will contribute by:

• Performing duties of a Warehouse Worker utilizing Order Picker to pick products to fill customer orders or brings down pallets of reserve stock to replenish pick slots.
• Manually pick cases of product from warehouse racks to fill customer orders.
• Building pallets of products picked to fill the orders.
• Recording daily actions by use of Voice-command, pick sheets and Power-warehouse.
• Fitting products on a pallet; insuring heavy products on bottom to reduce damage, plastic wrapping them, and loading them onto a trailer.
• May operate an electric pallet jack to load pallets of products onto delivery trucks.
• Compiling un-palletized products onto pallets.
• Performing duties of a Warehouse Clerk.
• Performing duties of a Forklift Operator, including maneuvering Stand-Up Forklift to put away or let down as many as twenty pallets per hour into warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
• Manually lifting pallets to move into place.
• Manually stocking/picking cases of product into warehouse racks.
• Recording daily actions by use of Radio Frequency Computer Terminal.
• Performing duties of a Selector, including selecting full case grocery/perishable/frozen items, fitting these items on a pallet, plastic wrapping them, and loading them onto a trailer.
• Performing duties of a Backhauler, including operating an electric pallet jack or clamp machine to transport pallets of product off inbound trucks.
• Performing duties of a Porter, including cleaning and maintaining warehouse aisles and product slots, removing product from slots with the use of a pallet jack, cleaning slot with cleaning supplies and an electric scrubber, and replacing product.
• Cleaning warehouse offices, employee break areas, and restrooms.
• Must be able to work to the end of shift to include necessary overtime in order to meet business needs and willing to assist in other departments based upon business needs.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift. Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more. Frequently lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead. Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height. Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools.
