Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Cowpens, SC is seeking a General Manager III to lead our 2nd shift operations at the distribution center. This role directs day-to-day warehouse activities, drives process improvements, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time shipping.

You will manage a team of Operations Managers, oversee P&L, labor and budgeting, and partner with customers to maintain strong relationships while leveraging Manhattan WMS and other technologies for performance insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with site-level P&L responsibility is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with a Manhattan WMS is also required.
• Strong customer-facing experience is required.
• Quality Assurance background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support as needed, while also developing a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration.

DHL Supply Chain is looking for a General Manager III to run our 2nd Shift operations that would support our Distribution Center facility in Cowpens, SC.

2nd Shift - (3:00pm - 11:00pm)

This General Manager III role will be responsible for supporting the 2nd shift operations in a 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) warehouse/distribution environment. Experience as a Sr Operations Manager or the primary manager for a distribution center or warehouse is required. Experience working with a Manhattan WMS is also required. The ideal candidate should have some experience managing site-level financial performance, including P&L responsibility, labor management, productivity, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end financial processes.

The General Manager III role has a salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 pending the experience level of the candidate.
