Ships-A-Lot is seeking a Warehouse General Manager to lead daily operations at the Las Vegas facility. You will manage receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, safety, and equipment, while guiding a hands-on team to meet quality and schedule targets.

The candidate should balance people management with operational execution, set expectations, ensure accountability, and drive continuous process improvements on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or related operations.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising or managing warehouse employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse employees.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold employees accountable for meeting them.
  • Conduct regular performance discussions and provide timely feedback.
  • Address attendance, performance, conduct, and other employee issues consistently and in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training warehouse employees.
  • Build a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Schedule employees and manage overtime in accordance with business needs and company guidelines.
  • Recognize strong performance and address performance issues promptly.
  • Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor workflow and staffing levels and adjust assignments to meet changing business needs.
  • Establish and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Monitor productivity, accuracy, turnaround times, and other operational performance measures.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment, tools, and technology are used properly and maintained.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Step into warehouse functions as needed during periods of high volume, staffing shortages, or other operational needs.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode technology, and inventory software to manage warehouse operations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automated warehouse equipment, robotic systems, conveyors, or other technology used in daily operations.
  • Train employees on new technology, warehouse software, and automated processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process improvements, and technology.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure smooth implementation of new warehouse technologies.
  • Demonstrate adaptability as automation and warehouse technologies evolve.
  • Maintain accurate physical and system inventory.
  • Establish and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, located, and handled.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
  • Ensure the warehouse complies with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Oversee the general condition, cleanliness, organization, and security of the warehouse.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and facility issues.
  • Monitor forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, racking, dock equipment, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, landlords, and service providers when necessary.
  • Identify facility or equipment needs and communicate them to company leadership.
  • Communicate regularly with company leadership regarding warehouse performance, staffing, safety, inventory, and operational issues.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and other departments to resolve customer or order-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate changes in priorities, procedures, and expectations clearly to warehouse employees.
  • Escalate significant operational, safety, employee, or customer issues appropriately and promptly.

Position Summary

The Warehouse General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the Las Vegas warehouse. This position provides hands-on leadership to warehouse employees and ensures that receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping, safety, equipment, and facility operations are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who can balance people management with operational execution. This person will establish clear expectations, hold the team accountable, identify opportunities to improve processes, and actively participate in warehouse operations when needed.

The Warehouse General Manager will work closely with company leadership, customer service, transportation, and other departments to ensure the warehouse provides reliable, high-quality service to customers.
