Job summary

United States Cold Storage in Quakertown, PA is hiring a full-time, on-site warehouse associate to support daily operations in our cold storage facility.

You will remove spreaders from Quick Freeze pallets using tilt table, clamp truck, and wrap machine; label cases; clean assigned areas; operate scanners and other warehouse equipment; and follow safety procedures with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous high reach forklift and/or warehouse training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Remove spreaders from QFM pallets using tilt table, clamp truck and wrap machine.
• Label cases for export and other projects as needed.
• Facility cleaning of assigned areas; breakrooms, locker rooms, freezer/dock.
• Battery changing if applicable to site.
• Utilize warehouse equipment to accomplish tasks; must have required training.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Communicate with site/shift leadership to complete duties as assigned.
• Follow established work procedures and productivity levels.

Description

The Job Details:

• Remove spreaders from Quick Freeze Method (QFM) pallets utilizing the tilt table, clamp truck and wrap machine
• Label cases for export and other projects as needed..

What We Are Looking For:

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Other Abilities You Will Need to Have:

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Lift up to 70lbs with assistance on an occasional basis.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Be able to speak and hear for safety and productivity.
• Use scanners, tablets, radio, phones, and other warehouse machinery.
• Ability to lift overhead.
• Ability to work overtime is an essential part of this position due to demand.
• Drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements.
• Have acceptable and / or correctable vision.
• Work in an atmosphere range of + 50 to - 30 degrees F with a moderate noise level .
• Personal interaction and communication required to and from other people is extremely high.
• Good arithmetic and reading skills.
• Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction and company policies.
• A self-starter that can work independently and coordinate with others.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines.
• Other projects as needed.
