Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. in Quakertown, PA seeks a Weekend Warehouse Associate for Quakertown West 4000 AM Dr. Quakertown. Shift: Sun-Wed 6:00AM-4:30PM.

Will support picking, loading, unloading, put away, and general warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will operate RF scanners, tablets, and pallet jacks, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and follow company procedures to protect product integrity. Travel is minimal; reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift and/or warehouse training a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform picking tasks and loading/unloading while maintaining product integrity.
• Use RF scanners and tablets to record movements and inventories.
• Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Description

The Job Details:

• Use of warehouse material handling equipment, which may include pacers, walkie-riders, high reach, pallet jacks and order pickers.
• Perform assigned functions by utilizing RF and scanning devices.
• Maintain a sanitary work environment by utilizing clean as you go techniques.
• Operate equipment in a safe manor.
• Follow established work procedures and work rules, while maintaining established productivity levels.
• Perform picking task which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, while maintaining the integrity of lots and product condition.
• Perform put away tasks, while maintaining the integrity of lots and product condition.
• Perform loading and unloading tasks, while maintaining the integrity of lots and product condition.

What We Are Looking For:

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• Previous forklift and/or warehouse training a plus

Other Abilities You Will Need to Have:

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Lift up to 70lbs with assistance on an occasional basis
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
• Be able to speak and hear for safety and productivity
• Use scanners, tablets, radio, phones, and other warehouse machinery
• Ability to lift overhead
• Ability to work overtime is an essential part of this position due to demand
• Drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements
• Have acceptable and / or correctable vision
• Work in an atmosphere range of + 50 to - 30 degrees F with a moderate noise level
• Personal interaction and communication required to and from other people is extremely high
• Good arithmetic and reading skills
• Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction and company policies
• A self-starter that can work independently and coordinate with others
• Work in a fast pace environment with the ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines
