Cardi's Furniture is seeking a Warehouse Furniture Pulling and Customer Pickup Associate to join our team in Swansea, MA. You will pull furniture for customer orders, assist with customer pickups, and ensure items are loaded safely and accurately while delivering friendly, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required; stock picker certification helpful but not required since training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Pull merchandise from inventory for customer orders picked up or delivered to homes.
• Load furniture and accessories into customer vehicles.
• Scan, pick, wrap, and store product with proper handling to minimize damage.
• Operate dollies/hand trucks safely to move items.

Warehouse Furniture Pulling and Customer Pickup Associate

Do you enjoy working in a fast pace environment while performing physical work? Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to work in their warehouse Furniture Pulling & Customer Pick-Up Department. This position is key to ensure Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is pulled correctly and customer pick-ups are processed with the highest level of customer service.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 Hourly

Schedule: Sunday 10a-6:30p, Mon & Tue Off, Wed thru Sat 2pm-10:30pm*

(*indicates that you may stay later frequently due to work load.)

Responsibilities

• Pulls merchandise from inventory for customer orders being picked up by the customer or being delivered to the customers’ homes in an orderly, accurate, timely and safe manner.
• Loading of Furniture and accessories in customer vehicles.
• Scans, picks, pulls and re-wraps and puts away product utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.
• Operates manual and mechanical equipment, such as dollies and/or hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner to move or hoist product to proper area/location.
• Complies with all applicable company health, safety and quality standards and policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Commitment to Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses safety policies and procedures.
• Models company image and culture through positive attitude, spirit of cooperation, appearance and respect for company policies and procedures on every aspect of role functions.
• Perform other functions as needed and required

MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no management / supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Safely lift furniture merchandise while elevate on warehouse equipment at heights of 30-40 feet above the ground.
• Lift, move, push and pull furniture up to and in excess of 110 pounds.
• Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the warehouse over an 8-12 hour work day.
• Ability to work well with others and function in a team environment.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders to picking labels.
• Ability to maintain emotional composure in a warehouse setting with customers, peers and management.

Prior related experience and or training preferred but not required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license required, stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in house.
