Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Apopka, Florida. The role offers weekly pay at $18.00 per hour with paid training and comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision and 401(k). This position supports distribution across the US using state-of-the-art equipment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and warehouse experience; forklift certification is required. Expect overtime and team-oriented, safety-focused work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) and maintain them.
• Ability to read basic English and perform simple math for safety and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Input data into the WMS computer system as used in location.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is completed correctly.
• Help train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage.
• Perform material moves with associated transactions.
• Participate in team activities for process improvement.
• Perform housekeeping duties in assigned area.
