Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a warehouse associate to process orders received by mail, phone, or in person. The role involves using RF scanners to track product movement, operating a pallet jack, forklift, and cherry picker safely, and assembling orders for shipping with attention to quantity and damage prevention.

Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors for substitutes when items are out of stock, rotating stock (FIFO), and performing inventory duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Process orders by mail, telephone, or in person from customers or employees.
• Operate RF scanners to track product movement and ensure accuracy.
• Assemble products on a pallet for shipment while minimizing damage.
• Load and stack products on trucks and verify against picking lists.
• Identify substitutes with supervisors when items are out of stock; check in transit items at night.
• Rotate stock to FIRST IN-FIRST OUT and maintain clean work area.
• Receive trucks and perform inventory-related functions as needed.
