Job summary

Suttle-Straus is seeking a Fulfillment Specialist to accurately ship products to customers, prepare fulfillment orders, and ensure proper packaging for designated shipping methods. The role involves picking and packing orders, and processing shipments through shipping systems.

The ideal candidate has warehouse pick/pack experience, can operate forklifts and order pickers, and participates in continuous improvement while maintaining safety and clean work areas.

Job Summary

The primary function of this role is to accurately and efficiently ship product to our customers. This entails picking and preparing fulfillment orders and production shipments, proper packaging for designated shipping method, and processing shipments through our shipping systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Read and understand the production job ticket and fulfillment pick lists
• Run forklifts, man‑up order pickers, and riding pallet jacks
• Count and fill orders accurately
• Pack orders made up of multiple items into boxes

Other Job Duties

• Assist in the implementation of ongoing Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Assure that all safety procedures and policies are followed
• Keep work areas clean

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• One year experience in warehouse pick/pack
• Must have good keyboard and computer skills
• Experience operating forklifts, man‑up order pickers and riding pallet jacks
• Strong counting and reading ability
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• General knowledge of shipping carriers and services
• Delivery experience a plus
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Good problem‑solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Works well independently as well as in a team environment
