Ryder is immediately hiring a Temp to Hire Warehouse Associate in Whitestown, Indiana.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly:

• Hourly Pay: $18.24 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $27.36 per hour
• Schedule: First Shift 6:00am - 4:00pm, working 4x10 hour days on a rotating schedule from Monday to Saturday

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of related warehouse experience required
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks), including maintenance and recognizing mechanical issues
• May operate manual and automated warehouse equipment
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into warehouse management systems
• Work overtime as assigned
• Ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Flexibility and self-drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Strong multi-tasking, organization, and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills

Responsibilities

• Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials
• Load and unload trailers, ensure correct scanning, and train dock employees on new procedures
• Perform picking and packing duties, check for damage
• Handle materials according to policies and procedures
• Perform material moves and related transactions
• Participate in team activities for improvement
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
