Job summary

FHI is hiring a Warehouse Freight Hauler in Statesville, NC. You will transfer product from receiving to the designated haul zone, wrapping and moving pallets efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Starting pay is $16 per hour. The position offers full-time permanent employment with development opportunities, weekly pay, and benefits. Local candidates only, with various shift times and a focus on production goals.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a warehouse associate preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse environment (order selector/picking, product storage, powered pallet jack/forklifts)
• Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets
• Experience with Electric Ride-On Pallet Jack

Responsibilities

• Transport received freight to designated haul zone.
• Ensure pallets are wrapped securely and transported without damage to the designated aisle.
• Scan freight into the system to ensure proper drop location (where applicable).
• Work is performed in a warehouse setting and is physically demanding.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently while working in a fast-paced environment; align operations with production and safety goals.
• Perform all tasks as assigned by leadership to meet daily productivity and quality goals.
• All other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Freight Hauler to join our team.

Starting shift time: 4:00 AM

Equipment experience: Electric ride-on pallet jack experience

Warehouse Freight Haulers perform job duties in a warehouse setting and are expected to accomplish physically demanding work. The Hauler will be responsible for transferring product from the receiving dock to the designated aisle.

Responsibilities include:

• Transport received freight to designated haul zone
• Ensure pallets are wrapped securely and transported without damage to the designated aisle
• Scan freight into the system to ensure proper drop location (where applicable)
• Work is performed in a warehouse setting and is physically demanding
• Perform duties safely and efficiently while working in a fast-paced environment. Ensure that operations are aligned and performed to achieve production and safety goals
• Perform all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
• All other duties as assigned
• Please note this is not a travel position and you should live local to the site.

Qualifications Required:

Education:

We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.

Experience:

• Prior experience as a warehouse associate is preferred
• Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.)
• Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.)
• Experience with Electric Ride-On Pallet Jack

Skills/Knowledge:

• Good verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to speak, read, and write English for effective communication
• Willingness to work the required schedule
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Interact respectfully and courteously with associates, co-workers, management, and customers
• Ability to work in a team environment

Work Environment:

• This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required
• Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday
• Handle cases weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets on any given day
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms or alarms) in moderate to loud work environments
