Job summary

Optimum is a cutting-edge communications, media, and tech company seeking a Warehouse Specialist I to support logistics, packing, receiving, and shipping of inventory. Under supervision, you will help forecast and requisition materials and perform convertor staging, cleaning, and screening tasks to maintain efficiency.

Responsibilities include unloading and storing inventory, filing movement forms, and tracking inventory as it moves from receipt to shipment.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing within the state of residence.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics.
• Skill in using a Windows-based computer.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to comply with all Company safety procedures.
• Ability to use any equipment in a safe manner as it pertains to job.
• Skill in using small hand tools.
• Ability to operate a vehicle and forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Maintain regular attendance for hours assigned.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, store, package, load, and ship inventory items.
• Prepare, maintain and file forms for material movement and transactions.
• Complete all receiving and shipping transactions for accuracy and track inventory movement.
• Record daily movement of inventory.
• Participate in training of Logistics Specialist I.
• Contribute to periodic warehouse inventory and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and forklifts safely.
• Deliver materials to field personnel and ensure inventory control.
• Prepare damaged or scrap materials for return shipping or repair.
• Package kits for customer orders and bulk packaging for contractors.
