Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Material Handler in Wilmington, IL. The role features base pay of $21.00 per hour, weekly pay, and a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k). This position involves operating electric sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and RF scanners in a safe, well-organized warehouse.

Responsibilities include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. Flexibility across shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license/certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting.
• Adhere to contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during production shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
