Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Jackson, Tennessee is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support distribution across the US. The role features a 5:30am–6:00pm rotating 2-2-3 schedule with weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO from month 1 and a company match on 401(k).

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift license, and 1+ year warehouse experience. Strong communication, reliability and teamwork are essential. Safety gear is provided and growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment
• Able to work within a diverse work environment and maintain professional relationships
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving and forklift operation.
• Work within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
