Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Brownstown, Michigan to support warehouse operations with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role includes forklift operation, order picking, packing, shipping and receiving within a clean, organized facility.

Weekly pay is offered with benefits starting soon and ample opportunity for growth in a team-driven environment servicing automotive parts and related distribution across the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Uphold safety and performance guidelines within the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork like picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
