Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler in Brownstown, Michigan, with a focus on safe forklift operation and accurate picking/packing of automotive parts. Expect weekly pay, paid training, and benefits.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and warehouse experience; candidates should be able to work Monday–Friday on the first shift and maintain strong safety and teamwork standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to lift/pull up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy in picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing system during production hours.
• Perform duties within performance guidelines of the contract.
