Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Aurora, IL is seeking a Forklift Operator to move, stack and count merchandise using powered industrial trucks. The role focuses on safe, accurate receiving, storage and shipping to meet company standards and productivity targets.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, order picking, inventory control and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Requires GED or high school diploma, 6 months logistics experience, and a valid forklift certification;

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months experience in logistics/distribution.
• Able to operate MHE (forklift).

Responsibilities

• Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations; input data into WMS.
• Order Picking: Pull and prepare for shipment; ensure correct quantities and types are loaded.
• Quality: Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged; report variances.
• Delivery: Move product to staging/production and ensure proper documentation accompanies freight.
• Inventory: Maintain records and assist in physical inventories and stock rotation.
• Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Maintain a clean work area and follow SOPs.
• Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
• Other Duties (Site Specific): Perform duties as assigned; overtime as needed.
