Job summary

Buffalo Rock Company is seeking a warehouse associate in Birmingham, AL. You will load/unload trucks with a forklift, rotate inventory by date, verify bills of lading, and ensure loads are properly wrapped and secured.

You will build pallets, maintain safety standards for drivers, assist inter-warehouse transfers, stock replenishment, and keep work areas organized. Apply safety PPE and participate in housekeeping tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse equipment/tools.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks by hand or forklift.
• Move product to ensure correct rotation by date coding.
• Validate BOLs against actual load and report discrepancies.
• Verify load seal against the BOL.
• Wrap loads using machine or hand methods.
• Build pallets per loading documents.
• Maintain safety policies for all transport drivers.
• Assist movement of products between warehouses.
• Replenish pick areas and keep stocks rotated.
• Park trucks and move vehicles as needed.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety rules.
• Assist with general housekeeping and other supervisor tasks.
