Description

Signature Retail Services is currently hiring for a full-time Forklift Warehouse Associate in Bedford Park, IL.

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting our client's lumber products at the warehouse before they are sent to retail locations. You will work with the facility manager to inspect inbound and outbound shipments, make minor repairs to packaging, and report your findings daily online. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and are detail-oriented, this role is ideal for you.

This position offers a competitive pay of $21- $23 per hour, depending on experience.

Position Responsibilities

• Safely unload and receive inbound shipments of lumber and building materials using a sit-down forklift or manual methods.
• Conduct inspections to ensure product quality, document findings, and address discrepancies before shipping to stores.
• Prepare and submit daily reports on activities and inspection results.
• Manage inventory by palletizing, staging, and performing up-stocking/down-stocking with forklifts or cherry pickers.
• Operate independently while communicating effectively with team and management.
• Perform minor repairs on product packaging to maintain standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
• 5+ years' experience operating a forklift or willingness to obtain certification.
• Smartphone with internet access, capable of texting and emailing.
• Basic tools such as work gloves, hand tools, tape measure, box cutter.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, and climb ladders.
