Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Huntsville, AL. You will work in a clean, organized facility performing forklift tasks, packing, and daily warehouse duties with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, knowledge of WMS systems, and proficiency with Outlook/Word/Excel. Valid Forklift license and travel within the area are expected components of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clean driving record and travel within area 25-50% of day.
• Strong technical aptitude using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS system.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Work indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance guidelines of the contract and contract metrics.
• Accurately pick/pack, audit, tote induction, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Schedule: First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
