Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Temp to Hire Forklift Operator in Phoenix, Arizona. The role offers weekly pay and a clear path from temporary to full-time employment. The position involves operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a clean, organized facility handling ceiling tiles, with safety as a priority.

Schedule is Sunday-Thursday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, or until job completion. On-the-job paid training and safety gear are provided, with, opportunity for growth upon conversion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour


• Additional pay after conversion from temp to full time (eligible after 90 days): $1.00 hourly raise + $1.00 shift differential


• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm or until job completion

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred


• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified


• Strong verbal and written communication skills
