Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Jonesboro, Arkansas. You will work in a clean, organized facility handling frozen food products and operating a stand‑up forklift. Third shift adds a $0.50 per hour premium, with a Monday–Friday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM schedule.

You will perform picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting, while maintaining accurate paperwork and supporting the automated packing system. Strong team and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• One year or more warehouse/powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Adhere to contract performance guidelines and quality standards.
• Accurately pick/pack, audit, tote induction, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse setting (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Support the automated packing system and maintenance during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
