Job summary

Silgan Containers Corp is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator at their Ft. Madison, IA plant. Starting pay is $21.84/hour with guaranteed overtime and comprehensive benefits including medical and 401k.

Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass a certification test.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift at a safe speed and within company guidelines.
• Receive, ship, load, and unload all product, raw material and supplies.
• Keep production line supplied with necessary raw material and supplies.
• Stack finished goods in the warehouse at various heights.
• Complete proper documentation and prepare necessary reports on incoming shipments.
• Maintain the forklifts in a clean and orderly fashion and perform daily forklift safety inspection.
