Job summary

Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co is seeking a full-time warehouse worker in Duluth, GA. You will receive, store, and move building materials in the warehouse and assist with loading trucks. The role requires reading orders, basic arithmetic, and safe forklift operation.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with possible overtime. You will maintain clean, orderly work areas and support positive customer interactions at the warehouse.

Qualifications

• MUST be able to safely operate a forklift and move materials.
• MUST read customer orders, shipping orders, and bills of lading.
• MUST count accurately and perform simple arithmetic.
• MUST move material by forklift or by hand.
• MUST identify products and handle items from documents.
• MUST keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
• MUST maintain good relations with customers visiting the warehouse.

Receive, store, load and move building materials in the warehouse and in the loading of trucks. Workweek is Monday through Friday and may require some overtime work.

Qualifications

• MUST have ability to effectively and safely handle a forklift
• MUST be able to read the customer order, shipping order, purchase order, and/or bill of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• MUST be able to count and perform simple arithmetic
• MUST be able to physically move material either by forklift or by hand to unload incoming materials from railcars, trucks; and, to load outgoing deliveries
• MUST be able to identify products and accurately handle items specified on written company documents
• MUST be able to keep warehouse clean and orderly
• Need to maintain good business relations with customers who come to the warehouse to pick up material
