Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Stand-Up Forklift Operators in Columbia, South Carolina, with weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a path for career growth in supply chain operations.

Positions operate on a second shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, with a 2/2/3 schedule and weekly earnings featuring a base pay plus shift and weekend premiums. Training, safety gear, and company-wide support are provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment with punctual attendance.
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks.
• Responsible for dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $19.66 per hour effective 8/30 (17.50/hour until 8/30)
• Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $5.00 per hour extra, when working a Saturday or Sunday
• Schedule: Second Shift 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
• 2 days on, 2 days off, and 3 days on. 36 hours one week and 48 the next, in continuous cycle - every other weekend will be a 3 day weekend off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
