Job summary

Sid Wainer in New Bedford, MA is seeking a forklift operator to manage putting away, dropping down, and rotating full pallets through warehouse reserve racks using stand‑up or sit‑down forklifts.

You will unload trailers, replenish upper racks, monitor safety procedures, and maintain clean receiving docks while ensuring accurate pallet movement and storage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years forklift experience.
• Ability to pass a forklift operating exam.
• Warehouse/distribution facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets using Stand‑Up, High Reach, or Sit‑Down forklifts up to 46 feet high.
• Pick/sort and replenish product from upper racks to front pick bins.
• Unload products from trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Move products from receiving dock to storage locations.
• Enforce safe handling procedures and monitor product quality.
• Replenish product from upper storage to lower pick bins in coolers.
• Break down pallets on the receiving dock and keep areas clean.
• Record daily actions with RF Scan Gun.

Position Summary:

The forklift operator is responsible for putting away, dropping down, and rotating full pallets of stock through the warehouse inventory reserve racks using a stand‑up or sit‑down forklift.

What you’ll do:

• Maneuver Stand‑Up, High Reach, or Sit‑Down Forklift to put away or let down pallets into warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
• Picks/sorts and replenishes product from upper racks to front pick bins.
• Unloads product from trailers using forklift trucks and powered riding pallet jacks.
• Manually moves product from receiving dock to proper storage location.
• Monitors and enforces safe product handling procedures.
• Replenishes product from upper storage rack to lower pick bins within cooler.
• Monitors product quality as product is being moved.
• Breaks down pallets on receiving dock.
• Maintains cleanliness (sweep, mop, restack pallets) of receiving docks and pick bin area.
• Cleans and charges forklift at the end of shift.
• Record daily actions by use of RF Scan Gun

About you:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• Team player who works productively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to pass a forklift operating exam.
• Warehouse/distribution facility experience preferred.
