ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Operate a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
  • Operate a lift truck all shift.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
  • Move controls to operate battery-powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Operate lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loads and secure material for transport.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or platforms.
  • Ensure reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Follow safety and security standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Unloader
  • Unload products from inbound carriers.
  • Verify received products are identified and counted accurately.
  • Inspect condition of received products.
  • Safely store products in proper locations.
Preloader
  • Read preload orders and fill orders by picking products.
  • Inspect and load trucks following loading guidelines.
  • Use scanning devices and computers as needed.
  • Check for shortages or errors and correct where possible.
Truck Loaders
  • Inspect trailers before loading.
  • Count units and compare with shipping documents.
  • Load products into trailers according to guidelines and secure loads.
