Description

Essential Functions

• Operate a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
• Operate a lift truck all shift.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
• Move controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
• Use lifting devices to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material for transport.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
• Ensure reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
• Perform duties following safety and security standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Unloading products from inbound carriers, verifying accuracy, inspecting condition, and placing product in proper storage.
• Receiving and reading preload orders, filling orders, inspecting, and loading trucks according to guidelines.
• Inspect trailers, count units, arrange products within trailers, and secure loads for travel.
