Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 6am-4:30pm
Compensation: $18.50 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Operates a lift truck continually on shift. Must be able to be proficient in driving backwards
- and able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
- Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary
- equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries (operating a man-on-board battery
- (magnetic) system) and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
- Inspects condition of product verifying that it is free of damage or contamination.
- Moves and places product safely and securely in its proper storage location.
- Stages product for outbound loads with correct requirements.
- Removes and empties waste bins into proper receptacles.
- Moves controls to drive lift trucks and transport raw materials, finishing supplies or finished
- product to and from the warehouse, trailers or operating lines.
- Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and
- swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure
- material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Operates a powered air supplied respirator to perform cleaning functions.
- Housekeeping of department/areas
- Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years related experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer or tablet skills; hand-held radio.
- Certificates & Licenses: Forklift Certification preferred. Must be able to complete
- Holmans forklift certification program.
