Job summary

ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Floater to support shipping, receiving and general warehouse operations across the distribution center in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating forklift, picker, and turret truck as needed. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of warehouse experience, strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, and AS400 systems familiarity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven warehouse experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures.
• Team player capable of working independently.
• Certified in forklift operations.
• Experience with AS400 Warehouse Systems.
• Ability to work full-time, including occasional nights and weekends during busy seasons.
• Ability to operate picker, turret truck, and forklift.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as floater in all areas of the ABC warehouse/distribution center.
• Anticipates needs and jumps in as needed in various departments during shift.
• Communicates with warehouse team leader about changing needs.
• Ensures deliveries are completed in a timely manner with shipping documents.
• Inspects shipping areas to ensure quality standards are met.
• Reviews/adjusts production needs for each shipping area.
• Operates forklift, stock picker or turret truck as needed.
• Trains new team members as requested by supervisor.
• Inspects warehouse for safety standards; keeps areas obstacle-free.
• Acts as senior team member across departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
