Job summary

TSP Contracting in Fairfax, VA is seeking a reliable Warehouse & Field Runner to support both inventory management and field logistics. You will ensure our central warehouse stays organized and that field crews have the materials they need to keep projects on schedule.

The role splits about 50/50 between warehouse duties and on-site deliveries, requiring safe operation of non-CDL box trucks, pickup trucks, and cargo vans. A valid license and strong reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Must pass an insurance background check).
• Confident and capable of safely driving non-CDL box trucks, pickup trucks, and cargo vans.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy construction materials weighing up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Familiarity with common construction hand tools and electrical equipment.
• Strict adherence to the 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM shift schedule to ensure morning field rollouts are supported.
• Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with project managers and field foremen.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming construction materials and project supplies.
• Review project pull-sheets to accurately prep, pack, and stage materials for upcoming jobs so field crews can load out efficiently.
• Track, test, clean, and organize company power tools and electrical equipment; report any broken or unsafe gear.
• Maintain a highly organized, clean, and safe warehouse layout to ensure quick access to assets.
• Safely operate company box trucks, pickup trucks, and vans to transport materials directly to active jobsites.
• Respond quickly to last-minute field requests for missing parts or tools to eliminate crew downtime.
• Retrieve excess materials, tools, and rental equipment from completed jobsites and return them to the central warehouse.
• Collect specialized or local orders from regional supply houses and vendors.

TSP Contracting is seeking a reliable, motivated, and organizedWarehouse & Field Runnerto join our team. In this dual-capacity role, you will be the physical backbone of our operations. You will ensure our central warehouse stays organized and our field crews have the exact materials and equipment they need to keep projects on schedule.

This is an active, fast-paced position split between indoor inventory management and regional driving.No CDL is required, but you must be comfortable operating box trucks, pickup trucks, and cargo vans safely.

Warehouse, Material & Tool Management (Approx. 50%)

• Inventory Control:Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming construction materials and project supplies.
  
• Staging & Kitting:Review project pull-sheets to accurately prep, pack, and stage materials for upcoming jobs so field crews can load out efficiently.

• Shop Upkeep:Maintain a highly organized, clean, and safe warehouse layout to ensure quick access to assets.
  

Field Logistics & Deliveries (Approx. 50%)

• Urgent Field Runs:Respond quickly to last-minute field requests for missing parts or tools to eliminate crew downtime.
  
• Site Cleanups & Returns:Retrieve excess materials, tools, and rental equipment from completed jobsites and return them to the central warehouse.
