Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. in Chantilly, Virginia, seeks an energetic, entry-level warehouse associate to support office, project and warehouse operations. You will learn all aspects of the business from the ground up and grow within the organization.

Responsibilities include receiving, organizing, loading/unloading trucks, forklift operation, inventory tracking, shipping, and coordinating office repairs. Starting hourly rate is $25.00+ depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (minimum).
• Willingness to learn and follow directions.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; DOT card may be required.
• Experience with forklift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and manage materials and supplies.
• Load/unload trucks and move items with forklift or other equipment.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Track tools, equipment, and Fleet maintenance
• Order/receive/maintain PPE inventory; manage shipping (FedEx/UPS).
• Coordinate office repairs/maintenance and assist with other duties.

Overview

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M’s) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore & Washington, DC Metro areas. H&M is seekingan energetic, career-minded individual to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.

This entry-level position, supporting office, project and warehouse operations, is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of the business from the ground up and grow within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving, organizing, and managing materials, equipment, stock and field supplies, physically loading and unloading trucks, moving and repositioning materials using forklifts and other machinery.
• Responsible for Warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Assists with managing tools & equipment tracking.
• Assists with tracking Fleet Maintenance.
• Responsible for ordering/receiving/maintaining an adequate stock of Safety (PPE) items.
• Responsible for shipping (Fed Ex/UPS).
• Responsible for coordinating office repairs/maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a warehouse environment including receiving, ordering, and tracking materials, a plus.
• Minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or in a team environment.
• Must be able to operate/drive all warehouse equipment. Previous experience operating a forklift, a plus.
• Must be able to spend the day doing various physical activities to include standing, walking, climbing up/down stairs or ladders, and standing for extended periods of time. Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a 30-foot box truck and obtain and maintain a DOT physical card. (Company paid)
• Basic computer skills, and strong communication skills (reading/writing/speaking) to effectively communicate with others.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, a plus.
• Ability to make deliveries in the Baltimore/Washington DC metro area.

Starting Hourly Rate $25.00 + Depending Upon Experience.
