Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Fort Worth, TX to handle merchandise movement within the distribution center, using hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment. You will ensure orders are accurate, check for damages, and assist in replenishment and loading duties.

You must be able to lift up to 65 pounds regularly and up to 85 pounds occasionally, stand or walk long hours, and work in a fast-paced environment with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with coworkers and managers.
• Basic arithmetic for inventory and data entry.
• Ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit.
• Learn basic operations of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
• Maintain annual certification requirements.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in automated DC helpful.
• Experience with warehouse management systems applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move incoming or outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift.
• Check, verify, and audit merchandise to ensure accuracy and condition; enter data into terminal.
• Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
• Replenish pick areas based on reports and requests.
• Fill merchandise orders from stores by selecting and moving items to the conveyor.
• Load outgoing merchandise into trailers and/or trucks.
• Report damages and vendor issues to supervisor and resolve discrepancies with team.
• Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards on assigned shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
