Job summary

NXTPoint Logistics is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklifts and other MHE to move, stack, and pick merchandise across our facilities in a fast-paced environment. You will handle shipping, receiving, inventorying, repackaging and palletizing as needed, while following safety standards.

The role requires experience with various equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will join a growing logistics team dedicated to efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months verifiable work experience operating material handling equipment within the last 36 months.
• Experience with sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, cherry/order picker is required.
• Able to perform heavy lifting and work in indoor/outdoor warehouse conditions.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA standards for warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely following prescribed methods and OSHA standards.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage product using powered MHE.
• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
• Store merchandise correctly and prepare items for shipment.
• Move product from staging to trailers or containers.
• Ensure shipments are accurate and undamaged, maintain records.
• Assist in physical inventories and basic packing tasks.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move, stack, or pick/pull merchandise. The scope of this position includes all phases of warehousing depending on needs including, shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing and forklift operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards including daily inspection and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using agasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices (to include; forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitchor motorized pallet rider).
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
• Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Perform pick and pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure proper inventory control and security measures are followed and maintained.
• May assist in physical inventories.

Education & Experience:

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Outdoors and indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation. Exposure to vibration, improperly illuminated or awkward and confining work spaces. Working above ground level where the possibility of falling exists. Frequent lifting and carrying of items. Loud noises typical.

Physical Activity Level:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. The employee must be able to carry and climb a ladder. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day) Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
