Overview

Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Engineer in Lexington, KY.

Job Description: Define the internal flow architecture based on the principles of Schneider Production Systems (SPS). Design global architecture for warehouse to optimize warehousing activities by designing Kanban loops between inventory and workstations. Define water spider loops and organize the evacuation of finished products and waste. Ensure reliability of warehousing time definition. Ensure safety and ergonomics conditions in warehouse and material handling activities. Define and involve the information system in line with the principles set out in MPH & Warehouse. Study the feasibility and profitability of investments adapted improve operations. Act as data-owner of warehousing (DEX) domain managing all data (creation, update, and deletion) in SAP.

Responsibilities
  • Define and optimize warehousing alliances and material flow architectures in alignment with SPS.
  • Design global warehouse architecture to optimize warehousing activities, including Kanban loops between inventory and workstations.
  • Define water spider loops and manage the evacuation of finished products and waste.
  • Ensure reliability of warehousing time definitions and maintain safety and ergonomic conditions in warehouse and material handling activities.
  • Define and integrate information systems in line with MPH & Warehouse principles.
  • Study feasibility and profitability of investments to improve operations.
  • Act as data-owner of the warehousing (DEX) domain, managing all data (creation, update, deletion) in SAP.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical, Industrial, or Material Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in materials process engineering or related occupation, including:
  • End-to-end material flow engineering from supplier receipt to lineside delivery.
  • Warehouse design using warehouse architecture design methodology and optimization of layouts.
  • Experience with ERP and SAP systems; use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to design and implement systems.
  • Perform Value Stream Mapping and time studies to determine headcount and equipment requirements.
  • Experience with manufacturing digital tools (MES, IIoT, AGV, AR).
