Job summary

Core-Mark International in Tampa is seeking a Driver Check-In Coordinator to support deliveries by verifying driver check-ins, processing returns, and ensuring accuracy in the day’s records.

You will interact with drivers, customers, and coworkers, perform inventory entries, reconcile receipts, and assist in coordinating vehicle maintenance while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 1–3 years related experience.
• 6+ months warehouse or unloading experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively and apply basic math skills.
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 30 lbs, up to 40 lbs frequently, and up to 65 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long periods and walk continuously.
• Work in a warehouse environment with varying noise and temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Check-in drivers on return from deliveries and ensure accurate records.
• Receive drivers' receipts, reconcile cash/checks, and file in safe.
• Process DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports; re-enter items into inventory as needed.
• Communicate with inventory and drivers about delivery challenges; assist vehicle repairs as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Details:

• Pay is $17.00 per hour


• Shift is Sunday - Thursday from 10:30pm - 7am

Primary Responsibilities:

As the Driver Check-In Coordinator, you will be responsible for checking in Delivery Drivers and ensuring the accuracy of the check-in and returns process. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Check-in drivers upon returning from deliveries.


• Receives the Driver’s receipts of the day’s customer deliveries, reconciles cash and checks, and places in the safe. Examines and verifies all returned items to be re-entered into inventory.


• Files Department of Transportation (DOT) logs and company vehicle maintenance reports. Reconcile damaged and returned goods and re-enter items into the appropriate categories within the inventory system, as required.


• Communicates with inventory personnel over quality-related concerns. Communicates with drivers, department managers, and others regarding delivery challenges. Assists in the coordination of vehicle repairs and maintenance as required.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or 1-3 years of related experience


• 6+ months of warehouse and/or unloading experience


• Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills


• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally


• Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.


• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.
