Vacancy Description

Accountabilities:

  • You MUST be at least 21 years old or older.
  • You MUST have a Full UL Driving Licence for the last 6 months and no more than 6 points.
  • Responsible for adhering to operational procedures and safe systems of work to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of products to internal and external customers, and the accurate movement of products within the operation.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

Operational:
  • Work various shifts with different start times in both warehouse and delivery driving.
  • Perform multi-drop delivery and collection of tyres and products to MTS Customer Base and Distribution Centers using up to 3.5 tonne vehicles.
  • Collect Customer Returns to Distribution Centers.
  • Occasionally handle monetary collections from Customers, including cash accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining the vehicle's roadworthiness following Company Practices and Procedures.
  • Ensure legal compliance with:-
    • Working Time Directive
    • Vehicle Loading / Weight Restrictions and Load Distribution
    • Current Road Traffic Acts and Legislation
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely, including:-
    • Daily vehicle walk-round checks / first use Inspection checks
    • Drivers Defect reports
    • WTD/timesheets
    • Document load discrepancies clearly on Delivery Notes / CMRs, signed by the receiving site/DC or Customer
  • Check all received and sent goods for faults and report issues as necessary.
  • Maintain high accuracy in stock counts during audits and communicate discrepancies or issues to Line Manager or Supervisor.
  • Adhere to legislation regarding storage, transportation on-site, and manual handling.
  • Assist with daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading at 'Goods-In' and 'Goods-Out' points.
  • Ensure stock is correctly stored and dispatched according to customer and DC requirements.
  • Move goods within the warehouse efficiently and accurately as instructed.
  • Load outbound vehicles safely and properly, following instructions and legislation.
