Job summary

Camillus House in South Florida seeks a dependable transportation and logistics professional to safely pick up, transport, and deliver donated goods. You will maintain vehicle logs, perform safety checks, and support loading/unloading across multiple Camillus House sites.

The role requires CDL (preferred) and the ability to operate a 20’–24’ truck, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate with donors, partners, and staff.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a credential).
  • Ability to drive a 20’–24’ truck; CDL preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; basic data-tracking skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely pick up, transport, and deliver donated goods; maintain vehicle logs and safety checks; support loading/unloading.
  • Move goods between Camillus House locations, warehouses, and program sites; supervise proper loading/unloading.
  • Assist with donation planning and logistics; represent Camillus House professionally.
  • Maintain vehicles in clean, safe condition and complete daily transportation logs and safety checks.

What You’ll Do

Safely pick up, transport, and deliver donated goods; maintain vehicle logs and safety checks; ensure proper loading/unloading; and support daily operational needs as assigned.

Your Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics
  • Make daily pickups of donated goods and deliver them to Camillus House locations.
  • Move goods between Camillus House, warehouses, and additional program sites.
  • Supervise proper loading and unloading to ensure safe handling of all items.
  • Assist with planning related to donation handling and logistics.
Vehicle & Safety Compliance
  • Maintain assigned vehicles in clean, safe, and proper operating condition.
  • Complete daily transportation logs, in‑kind donation forms, route logs, and preventive vehicle checks.
  • Understand and follow basic food-handling and food‑transportation safety guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all driving, safety, and operational procedures.
Client & Community Interaction
  • Represent Camillus House with professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude.
  • Interact respectfully with donors, partners, clients, staff, and volunteers.
  • Provide supportive guidance when interacting with clients as needed.
Professional Conduct & Team Support
  • Always maintain a high standard of professionalism.

Requirements
Education

Work Environment
