Job summary

Central Georgia Technical College seeks a Warehouse & Distribution Instructor to teach inmate students in correctional settings, delivering instruction per approved syllabi and current field practices. You will maintain records, assess progress, and collaborate with college staff to support student success.

Requirements include an Associate degree or higher in logistics-like fields and two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Earned Associate Degree or higher in a logistics-related field from an accredited institution.
• Documented two years of paid work experience in supply chain/logistics and/or warehouse distribution.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics, supply chain, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Preferred: forklift certification.
• Preferred: teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student inmates in the correctional setting using appropriate teaching techniques.
• Use testing, grading procedures, maintain grade books and records.
• Follow the approved course syllabus and manage program requirements.
• Meet with students and college personnel to discuss instructional progress and issues.
• Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Complete reports, records, and invoices; maintain inventory of assigned properties.
• Maintain qualifications per TCSG policy and accreditation standards.
• Follow institutional policies and procedures; comply with Georgia DOC rules.
• Travel to college campuses, sites, and other correctional facilities as needed.

Education

Associate degree or higher in logistics-related field

Two years in supply chain/logistics and/or warehouse distribution

Teaching experience (post-secondary)

Tools
