Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is hiring a Warehouse Associate for our client in Acworth, GA. The role is 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, paying $19.80 per hour with strong OT potential. Temp-to-hire with long-term growth opportunities. You will handle packaging, unloading/loading, inventory control, and use RF scanners and WMS daily to ensure accurate shipments and efficient operations. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Break down bundles of stock to meet order requirements and production needs.
• Package and prepare materials for shipment using crates and wraps.
• Safely unload inbound shipments and load outbound trucks with accurate docs.
• Operate forklifts and other handling equipment to move materials around the warehouse.
• Stage materials to support efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
• Prepare, label and organize materials for shipment in staging areas.
• Use RF scanners and WMS to track inventory movements in real time.
• Conduct cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Receive, inspect and store deliveries with proper documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Job Details

• 1st shift: 8AM-4:30PM
• Monday-Friday
• $19.80/hr

What You’ll Be Doing

• Break down bundles of 12-foot or longer bar stock into smaller bundles based on order requirements and production needs
• Package and prepare metal plates and parts for shipment using wood crating, corrugated boxes, shrink wrap, and steel banding
• Safely unload inbound shipments and load outbound trucks while verifying materials against shipping documentation
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse
• Stage materials for machine operators and production teams to support efficient workflow and minimize downtime
• Prepare, label, and organize materials for shipment in designated staging areas
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track and update inventory movements in real time
• Conduct cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and locate misplaced materials
• Receive, inspect, and store newly delivered materials while maintaining accurate documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and team members to support daily operations

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy or oversized materials safely
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and shipments
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

This experience isn't required but will make you standout over other applicants

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling
• Forklift experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
