Job summary

CORT Furniture Rental is seeking a full-time Operations Manager in North Bergen, NJ to oversee warehouse and transportation operations, inventory management, and fleet assets. This onsite role drives efficiency, safety, and compliance from the distribution center.

Salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 per year, with a Mon-Fri schedule and possible Saturdays. Benefits include health, 401(k), paid time off, and life insurance. Join a growing team that values operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution management.
• Strong understanding of logistics, safety, and compliance standards.
• Physically able to move furniture indoors/outdoors, up/down stairs, and lift 100+ pounds with a partner.]
• Onsite, in-office leadership and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse and transportation operations.
• Plan and schedule labor to meet business demands and safety standards.
• Lead, coach and develop warehouse and delivery staff.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of personnel.
• Manage inventory accuracy and asset movement; ensure DOT compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for transportation or equipment servicing.
• Forecast costs; monitor budgets and drive efficiency.
• Ensure safety initiatives and audits align with standards.
• Resolve customer issues and escalate as needed.
• Oversee payroll, reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Lead warehouse improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.
