Job description

Overview:

Greenwood Industries is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Yard Associate to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate/ Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for various tasks related to Warehouse and delivery operations, including Forklift operation, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment, driving construction materials to and from job sites. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Responsibilities:

* Operate forklifts and move materials and equipment within the yard and warehouse

* Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques

* Assist in the rigging and securing of loads for transport

* Stage materials for upcoming roofing jobs

* Build and assemble pallets, and other packaging materials as needed

* Maintain inventory control of roofing material

* Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the yard and warehouse clean and organized

* Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including OSHA regulations

* Assist with shipping and receiving duties as required

* Support off-site maintenance and delivery/pick-up assignments

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks

* Must have Driver's License and possess or be able to acquire Department of Transportation Medical card which will require physical and drug testing

* Ability to work in a warehouse facility; indoors and frequently outside

* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures

* Ability to safely lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

* Attention to detail and organizational skills

* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
