Job summary

Guy's Quality Meats in Florida is hiring for full-time and part-time warehouse roles supporting our food service distribution and butcher shop. You will unload freight, load trucks, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, able to lift up to 80 lbs, and possess an active driver's license. Food experience is a plus; overtime may be available, and benefits include paid vacation and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload all incoming freight from carriers and trucks.
• Notate damage and item counts when applicable.
• Verify receipts against purchase orders.
• Inform purchasing of shortages and overages.
• Stock goods in correct locations and assist inventories.
• Process daily customer returns.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and warehouse duties.
• Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation.
• Operate forklifts, dollies, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Ensure daily temperature checks and inspections are completed.

Requirements:

• CDL License not required.
• Must be familiar with the Treasure Coast Area.
• Must be able to Drive a Box Truck.
• Must have a Clean Criminal Record.
• Must have an Active Driver's License.

Responsibilities:

• Unloads all incoming freight from common carriers, delivery trucks, etc.
• Notates damage and piece count when applicable.
• Verifies receipts against purchase orders.
• Advises the purchasing department of shortages and overages.
• Stocks all goods in appropriate locations.
• Assists in physical inventories.
• Processes customer returns on a daily basis.
• Assists in picking.
• Ensure that daily warehouse operations are being completed.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, maintenance, and sanitation.
• Responsible for maintaining effective warehouse practices and procedures, including FDA, USDA, and other governmental agencies.
• Implement and maintain the warehouse training program.
• Responsible for operating vehicles and or machinery to complete duties. Vehicles could include vans, box trucks, etc. Machinery will include the use of forklifts, dollies, and pallet jacks.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks when needed.
• Assist with customer service, warehouse operations, forklift operation, product handling, and sanitation.
• Responsible for ensuring that all temperature checks
• Daily truck inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs. Follow up on repair requests to ensure the completion of repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
