Job summary

Border States Industries, Inc. in Meridian, MS is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations. You will receive freight, check for damages, stock materials, and prepare orders for delivery to customers.

Strong accuracy, safety awareness, and ability to coordinate with carriers are essential. Two years of warehouse experience and SAP skills are preferred; forklift operation may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems is also preferred.
• If the employee will be driving, candidate must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming freight and checks the material for damages or shortages.
• Distributes material to the proper stock locations.
• Fills special orders and/or backorders as material is received.
• Coordinates deliveries with our own trucks, assigned freight companies, or other carriers based on requests.
• Maintains inventory stock locations and keeps shelves neat and orderly.
• Fills orders for delivery to customers and informs departments of stock outs or discrepancies.
