JC Smith, Inc., the largest independently owned contractor supply house in Upstate NY, is 49 years in business and growing. We have an opening for a Delivery Driver/Yard Person full-time all year no layoffs in our ROCHESTER location.

JC Smith, Inc., the largest independently owned contractor supply house in Upstate NY, is 49 years in business and growing. We have an opening for a Delivery Driver/Yard Person full-time all year no layoffs in our ROCHESTER location.

Requirements Of The Job Include

Ability to lift and carry 70+ pounds safely

Good communication and customer service skills

Flexible approach to different tasks

Prompt, reliable, hard-working, and eager to excel

Self-Motivated Team Player

Safe Driver with a clean driving record

Must be able to pass a 4-panel drug screen

Must have or be able to pass a DOT physical exam

Valid Drivers License (CDL Not Required)

Maintain Vehicle Check and Mileage Logs

Help to maintain the delivery vehicles with proper maintenance scheduling, safety checks and prompt reporting of any issues

Deliver Construction Supplies and Equipment

Load, unload, and assist customers with same

Communicate from the road with JC Smith Inc., management, as needed

Help with warehouse tasks such as stocking, pulling, inventory, etc., as needed

Summary

As a Delivery Driver/Yard Worker, you will be essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining efficient yard operations. Your core skills in driving and heavy lifting will be vital for transporting goods safely. You will also leverage your customer service and communication skills to interact positively with clients. Experience with warehouse operations and commercial driving will enhance your effectiveness in this role and making you a valuable asset to our team in delivering exceptional service.
