Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Wilmington, IL is seeking a Warehouse Custodian to maintain sanitation across dry, refrigerated, and freezer zones. This full-time on-site role runs Mon-Fri, 1pm–9:30pm, with a focus on cleaning floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas while following OSHA and Good Warehousing Practices.

You will operate floor cleaning equipment, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and support general labor tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment and compactors.
• Must be comfortable handling cleaning chemicals and following SDS and PPE requirements.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in official language as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures from -20°F to 100°F wearing PPE.
• Must lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends if needed.
• Comfort with varying noise levels.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; janitorial/ sanitation experience (3–12 months).

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse floors, dock areas, and walkways.
• Dust racks, beams, and surfaces; clean restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and offices.
• Empty trash and manage debris; collect and dispose of cardboard and pallet waste.
• Keep equipment areas and building interiors/exteriors clean.
• Sanitize in dry storage, refrigerated, and freezer zones following protocols.

By using our website, you accept the use of cookies.# Careers l Lineage Logistics## Warehouse CustodianApply: On-Site: Wilmington, IL (S Graaskamp Blvd.): Full time: Posted Today: R0111075Hours - 1pm - 9:30pm ( Monday to Friday )Maintain appropriate sanitation levels in and around company facilities, including dry, refrigerated, and freezer zones, while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.# **KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum warehouse floors, dock areas, racking bases, and pedestrian walkways* + Dust racks, beams, and structural surfaces + Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and office spaces daily + Empty trash bins and remove debris from work areas + Collect, compact, and dispose of cardboard, shrink wrap, pallet debris, and general waste + Keep compactor and baler areas clean and organized + Keep the interior and exterior of the building clean + Perform sanitation tasks in dry storage, refrigerated cooler, and sub-zero freezer areas, following zone-specific protocols to prevent contamination and protect product integrity + Apply and store cleaning chemicals according to OSHA, SDS, and Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) requirements, using required PPE + Immediately report spills, damaged racking, pest activity, or unsafe conditions to management # **ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including walk-behind and ride-on scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums, in accordance with training and safety guidelines* Operate compactors and other machinery as necessary to complete sanitation tasks* Support special projects and general labor needs as assigned # **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)*** Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment and compactors * Must be comfortable handling cleaning chemicals and following SDS and PPE requirements* Basic math skills* Ability to understand instructions in Country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics* Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./23 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility* Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed* Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud* Ability to pass a background check and drug screen* Preferred: high school diploma or GED; 3–12 months of janitorial, sanitation, or warehouse experiencePay Range:$15.48 - $26.11Why Lineage?
