Job description

Understand and work with established standards to deliver the highest and most consistent levels of excellent customer service.

  1. Understand and comply with safety requirements of the position; keep safety top of mind at all times and prevent co-workers from working unsafely. Report all safety concerns, accidents, and near misses immediately. Participate in safety inspections and accident investigations. Keep the workplace clean and free of debris at all times.
  2. Improve at least one skill each year as agreed with your supervisor. Deliver on performance against outcomes.
  3. Develop the skills needed to attain your desired career path within the organization. Identify your own career goals and communicate them to your supervisor.
  4. Ensure that defect-free products are scheduled, produced, and shipped in full and on time to meet customer demand.
  5. Develop and ship new products on schedule, in full, and meeting quality standards.
  6. Maintain the work area and facility grounds according to Homeplace standards. Performance will be measured by KPIs and BPTW surveys.
  7. Seek continuous improvement in performance as indicated by departmental KPIs.
  8. Perform your job responsibly, in compliance with company procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
  9. Own the standard operating procedures for your specific job and continuously improve quality-driven actions to achieve excellent results.
  10. Recommend ideas to reduce costs.

Requirements

MUST

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least 6 months of continuous growth in each position
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, landscaping, or warehouse environment
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment as required

PREFERRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
  • Good physical health; capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance

  • Three-dimensional vision and ability to judge distances
  • Moderate noise level at the workstation (business office with printers)

  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift and overtime if necessary
