This position would support our 2nd Shift (Monday through Friday from 3pm-11pm).

SUMMARY

Daily tasks to include supplying the production floor with raw materials. Utilizing SAP and RF transactions to maintain inventory levels accurately and effectively. Receive in and complete material put aways after quality inspection. Reviews documentation for accuracy and stores appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Using SAP for essential job functions.
  • Fully functional as either a bulk wire, sensor, or assembly coordinator.
  • Performs cycle counts with high accuracy.
  • Ensuring physical counts match SAP quantities.
  • Verifies incoming paperwork for lot traceability and overall accuracy.
  • Performs raw material returns through SAP and physically able to put material away.
  • Ensure inventory storage areas are labeled and organized.
  • Examine work orders requirements to determine required parts and materials.
  • High degree of accuracy pulling correct material, counting parts, measuring / cutting material.
  • Utilization of FIFO and maintaining lot control.
  • Ensure company standard work practices and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain orderly, clean, and safe work area and actively promotes 5S practices.
  • Must be a good problem solver.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  • Reports any problems or difficulties to the supervisor and obeys safety rules.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Mathematical skills – Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills, using all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Successfully pass application mathematics examination.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and efficient manner to protect oneself, others, products, materials, and other company assets from harm.
  • Operates with a high degree of integrity in the performance of duties to foster good working relationships, develop a spirit of teamwork, and accomplish job goals.
  • Must be able to detect and respond to audible or visual alarms for building evacuation and shelter-in-place and moving equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Amphenol CIT is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toed shoes.
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses.
  • Hearing protection, in specific locations.
  • Ability to comply with JSA in specific areas.
